I'm getting what I've always been dreaming of, so are you. Fantasies come true... [14 May 2005|10:41am]

[ music | Avenue Q-Fantasies Come True ]

Best song from Avenue Q in my opinion.

So anyways, yesterday I had an appointment with Dr. Ninan(chiropractor). He said that I had some discs in the lower portion of my spine that were slightly stuck, and I had a lot of muscle tension, which would explain both my back pains and why I shrunk 2 inches, lol. So I have two more appointments with him next week, which hopefully will go well. I wanna be tall again, lol.

The appointment was originally scheduled for Thursday, but we had to move it back because I had a concert that night. I think it went pretty well. I knew my part, as did the rest of the basses. I remember during "The Long And Winding Road" when we got to the bass only part. We just blasted it. 'Twas quite good. And then when we did the combined pieces(we did two pieces with the band and orchestra accompanying them), we did a good job.

Alma Mater )

That was one of the pieces. I can't really give you the lyrics to the other one, because it's twelve pages long and a medley of several songs written by Jack Yellen, a famous composer who lived in Springville. If you've never heard the name, you've probably heard one of his songs-"Happy Days Are Here Again".

It's kinda funny how people appreciate something and are grateful to the person who gave it to them...until they find out who it was who gave it to them, lol.

Big time.

Thursday night was the basilica concert. Me, Travis, Andy Doud, Dennis, and Nate Langhans were all in Travis' Jeep at the same time. We weren't even out of the school parking lot and the thing was bottoming out. It was hilarious. So we went to his aunt's house and got into her Jeep, and drove that up to Lackawanna. We stopped at Dennis' house for a second, and much entertainment ensued for Travis, Andy, Nate and I. We also stopped by McDonald's to capitalize on their 5 Big Macs for $5 deal. We got 15, lol. This was while we were still in Travis' Jeep, so I kinda went out of order. We went to his aunt's after McDonald's. Then we went cruising down the 219, listening to Tenacious D and swearing. A lot. I wish I had had a tape recorder that day, because it would have been hilarious to listen to. We all kind of ended up slipping in the basilica and swearing in there. The reactions when somebody swore were hilarious. And the concert itself went well. And afterwards, Lauren insisted that I meet her family. You could hear the whip crack all over the basilica, lol. Also, in between our performances, I told Lauren that she was the most beautiful girl in the entire basilica(note to self: mission to get long "awwwwww" comments accomplished).

I took the SATs this morning. They were fairly easy. I didn't ace them, but I think I did respectably. And the essay was perhaps the most pointless thing I have ever seen on a test. The topic was-"do you agree or disagree that work, be it employment, school, of volunteer work, dictates the course of a person's actions outside of work?" Yeah...see what I mean? So yeah...I'll know in a few weeks how I did, which is a good thing.

[ music | Toby Keith-Honky Tonk U ]

Okay, based on something I did earlier-

I'm throwing out a challenge. I bet that no one who stumbles across this page can write a short story that makes references to either the plot or one song from all of these musicals-

Here they are )

So...can you do it?

[ music | Strata-Piece By Piece ]

Well, it was a great way to cap off a not-so-steller day. First off, I talked to well over 10 friends about my day, and they all told me they loved me, and that was really cool. I love having lots of friends who care about me so much. And then I just went to check my email a little while ago, when what should I find but an email from Brian Sexton! I had sent him an email a week or so ago, letting him know about plans for this coming summer, including Midsummer Ball in Buffalo, a party at my house, and going down to his house for a few days. He told me to keep him informed so that he could clear his schedule. So, the bottom line is, that after allllllll of the red tape and health issues and such...

I AM GOING TO OHIO. :-D

Well, that's it for now. I'll update more a little later.

Red Green's Duct Tape Forever=hilarious movie. You all must watch it. Now. Or else. :-)

I did some shoveling earlier. For as much snow as we got yesterday, it was unbelieveably easy to shovel it all. Then I went inside, had a ginger beer(it's a nonalcoholic drink similar to ginger ale, but with a little kick in the aftertaste), and watched the movie. Then got online and talked to Steve for a little while.

I'm going to go and watch the rest of Duct Tape Forever. Lata.
